Climb Glastonbury Tor to reach the 14th Century St Michaels Tower and take in the superb 360 degree view. Walk to Challice Well and enjoy the quiet garden and partake of the healing well and waters, dating back to Druid times.
A walk of 15 minutes takes you to the town & ruins of Glastonbury Abbey (stone from the Abbey can be found in most older houses in Glastonbury, our share is in the wall in the Angelic Garden). A longer rural walk can take you to the old oak trees Gog & Magog. Don’t forget the stories of Glastonbury. The many visits of Joseph of Aramathea, some with the boy Jesus, and the planting of Joseph’s staff. The Arthurian legends, the burial place of Arthur and Guinevere and his hiding of the Holy Grail.
